Wat Tha Khanun...
Wat Tha Khanun covers an area of about fifteen hectares in the Thong Pha Phum district.
The wat was built in 1930 on land offered to Luang Po Puk Auttumpalo by the Nok Lek family. The temple is then called Wat Luang Phor Sai.
Upon the disappearance of Luang Poo Puk, master Tai Naem, a karen monk, became the abbot of the temple. The latter extended the temple around the Buddha Footprint, with the participation of Tha Khanun village chief, Tom Hong Sawat Di. When Tai Naem master died, the wat was abandoned for a while.

Luang Poo Sai Akangkawasso (Phra Kru Suwanselaporn) who came from Nakorn Sawan settled in the temple, the villagers who appreciated his rigor and his way of life invited him to settle in the wat. Luang Poo Sai Akangkawasso has extended the temple and built housing for the monks. Wat Tha Khanun has become the temple of Thong Pha Pum until today.
When Laung Poo Sai Akkamwasso died in 1992, the monks' buildings and housing deteriorated. Ten years later, in 2002, Phra Raja Dhamma Sophon, the ecclesiastical governor of Kanchanaburi, appointed Prakhru Wilaskanchanadhamma (Lek Sudhammapanyo) as head of Wat Tha Khanun to take over and develop the temple.

The chapel was built in 1954 by Luang Poo Sai Ak Kawang So. It is made of reinforced concrete and is built on the 'วิสุงคามสีมา - wi sung cam sima' (the 'wi sung cam sima' is the royal authorization to devote land offered to the clergy.) วิ สุ ง - wi sung means separated and คาม - kaam The royal authorization is indispensable because the land is the property of the King.This authorization obtained on February 24, 1955, the land was then sanctified.The chapel was renovated by Lek Su Dhamma Panyo.
